Chris Walters
Originally from the UK with over 20 years experience as a professional photographer and a lifetime of experience as an amateur. I have lived and travelled extensively in North America capturing the landscapes, travel, people and places within this incredible continent. After a two year hiatus back in the UK I have returned to Canada to continue my love of photography.
I have always been a photographer, as long as I can remember. My old mum loved pictures, she would sit for hours looking through old images and talking about the memories they rekindled. It's no surprise that she made sure I had a camera for school trips in the 1970's, a point and press Kodak 110 that allowed me to begin my love affair with photography which has never wavered between then and now. It wasn't until 2007 that I had the opportunity to quit work and begin my professional photography pursuit. Since then I have lived, travelled and shot extensively in North America. I have moved house 15 times in 20 years from the UK to the US Midwest, then down to the southern states before moving north to Alberta Canada. I returned to the UK to renovate our Victorian house in the quiet beauty of North Lincolnshire. Now, two years later, and back in Alberta the constant change continues to help me discover and capture new horizons. Over forty years after that little Kodak 110, I am still just as excited by that next new vista and the photographic opportunity it presents. |
