Reflections
Reflections are a great way make an image more interesting, it brings another element into the shot by providing two differing viewpoints. The city centre in Bartlesville, Oklahoma is not the most picturesque location, but when reflected in the windows of the local credit union it holds the attention.
Reflections can be found everywhere and will always add a little something different to your images. This polished street furniture close to St Pauls Cathedral in London UK allowed me to make an unusual shot of the location
As with the shot above you can often use the reflection as the entire image, the suggestion of an object distorted by reflection cause us to think just a little longer, to view just a little deeper. In short it holds the attention which is a large part of what we are seeking to do when we produce an image.
The gallery below shows various examples of reflections used to make images, from mirrors to puddles reflections are almost always available and will often bring a little extra to your images.
