It's that time of year again, thoughts are turning toward the warm embrace of springtime as the Chinook winds bring us welcome relief. This winter has been kind in terms of snowfall (so far) but bitterly cold even by our standards.
I know we still have at least 3 months of winter to go but when those warm winds blow through I can't help but think of spring. Thankfully I'll be heading to the UK for a couple of weeks at the end of February. I can't wait to see the daffodils blooming beneath bare trees.
It's going to be a busy trip so I'm not yet sure where personal time for photography is going to come from but I'm hopeful as always.
My shot today is of a bull elk outside of Canmore Alberta, unconcerned by my presence and probably thinking of springtime too. I wonder does he know that our thoughts are connected today, maybe he feels it, maybe that's why he remained in place, safe in the knowledge that we were kindred spirits.
